DIRECTIONS TO : NORTH FORK QUINAULT TRAILHEAD - MILEPOST 129 NEAREST CAMPGROUND: North Fork RANGER STATION : Ranger stations, toilets, water ![]() This wilderness is located east of Lake Quinault in the southwest corner of Olympic National Forest. This 11,961 acre wilderness contains steep, rugged topography. Elevations range from 300 feet in the Quinault Valley to 4,509 feet along the eastern boundary. LOW DIVIDE TRAIL (17 miles) : Beginning at the North Fork Ranger Station, the trail follows the North Fork of the Quinault to the Low Divide which is the pass between the Quinault and the Elwha. It is one of the main "through the park" trails as one can travel 27 miles beyond Low Divide to the Whiskey Bend Trailhead on the Elwha.
